Getting started
What is Fudoshen?
Fudoshen is a personal operating system: one place to plan your day, work in focused sessions, build habits, journal, keep track of money and see how you are improving over time. It is built around one loop: set an intention, act on it, record what happened, and refine. Train. Refine. Become.
How do I join?
Choose Enter the path on this site, create your account with your email and a password, confirm your email, then start your 7-day free trial in the secure checkout. A card is required, and nothing is charged until the trial ends ($10 a month after that). You must be 18 or older and in the United States.
What should I do on my first day?
- Open Command. This is your home screen every day.
- Add one task for today in the capture box.
- In Money, set up your pay so Fudoshen can show your next payday.
- In Journal, write one honest line about today.
- In Growth, write your why and one non-negotiable.
That loop, repeated, is the practice. Everything else can wait until you need it.
Can I explore with sample data?
Yes. Go to Settings › Data & account › Example data and load the examples to see Fudoshen full of realistic data. You can remove them again from the same place in one click.
Can I put Fudoshen on my home screen?
Yes. On iPhone or iPad, open Fudoshen in Safari, tap Share › Add to Home Screen. On Android, open it in Chrome and use the menu’s Add to Home screen. On a computer, bookmark it or use your browser’s option to create a shortcut.
Key features
Command: your home screen
Command shows today on one screen: your progress, a capture box, what is up next, your schedule, money, a journal question, today’s habits, growth, investing, focus this week and pinned notes. Choose which cards appear in Settings › You › On your dashboard.
The capture box
Type one line and choose what it is: a task, a thought, an idea, money spent or money earned. It is filed in the right place so you can get back to what you were doing.
Tasks and calendar
Add tasks in plain words. For example, Pay rent fri !high #home -20m sets the day, a high priority, the tag #home and a 20-minute estimate. Switch between list and board, group by date, and add repeating tasks and subtasks. The calendar has month, week, day and agenda views and can show your dated tasks next to events. Paydays and bills from Money appear there too.
Habits and streaks
Create the habits you want to keep and check them off each day. Each habit keeps its own streak. Today’s habits also appear on Command, and your check-ins feed Analytics and your daily output score.
Focus timer and Zen mode
Choose focus, short break, long break, a custom length or the stopwatch. Link a session to a task and the minutes count toward it. Shortcuts: Space starts or pauses, R resets and Z opens Zen mode, a full-screen timer with nothing else on screen. Press Esc to leave it.
Journal and notes
Write entries with formatting, keep notes in folders and search everything. Each journal entry shows that day’s tasks, habits and events, and a question is there to start from when the page is blank.
Growth: your why, goals and weekly review
Write your why, the kind of person you are becoming and your non-negotiables. Fudoshen gives each day an output score from 0 to 7 based on tasks, focus, habits, a journal entry and your non-negotiables. The weekly review scores the areas of your life, and you can set goals and run an hours audit.
Money and the calculator
Set your pay, hours and pay schedule to see your next payday and estimated take-home pay. Add bills and spending to see where the month is heading, by category, and a 12-month view of what you would set aside at your current pace. A calculator is built in. These are estimates for your own planning, not financial or tax advice.
Investing log
Record positions, trades and the capital you put in, choose spot, margin, futures or options (lot size, leverage and margin are worked out for you), pick assets from a built-in list, follow reference prices and price history, and use Size a trade to work out a position size. Prices are reference data from third-party sources: they can be delayed, and you can always type your own. Fudoshen shows your equity, win rate, expectancy and how often you followed your own plan. It is a record-keeping tool; it does not connect to a brokerage or give advice.
Analytics
See tasks completed, habit check-ins, focus time and open tasks over 7, 30 or 90 days or the year, each compared with the period before. My data lets you build your own charts.
Canvas
Draw and sketch with brushes, lines, shapes and text on layers. Right-click an object, or press and hold it on a touch screen, to select it and open its properties. Full screen hides everything but the canvas and a compact toolbar, which is handy on a phone.
Community
Share progress and lessons with other members, react and reply. Change the name others see in Account and billing › Name in the community. Only what you post is visible; your private data never is.
Accounts & billing
How does the free trial work?
New members get 7 days free with everything included. A card is required to start, and nothing is charged during the trial. Before you enter your card we show the exact date of your first charge, and it’s always shown in Account and billing; you’ll also get an email reminder. Cancel before that date in Manage billing and you won’t be charged. There’s one free trial per person and per card, so a card that already had a trial is billed right away.
How much does Fudoshen cost?
After the 7-day free trial, Fudoshen Path is $10 a month, plus any sales tax that applies. If a yearly option is offered, its price is shown on the pricing section and in checkout before you pay. There is no free plan.
How do I cancel, change my card or get a receipt?
In the app, open Settings › Data & account › Account and billing › Manage billing. That opens Stripe’s secure billing page, where you can cancel, update your card and download receipts.
What happens when I cancel?
During the free trial: you won’t be charged at all, and you keep access until the trial ends. After that: you won’t be charged again, and you keep full access until the end of the period you already paid for. After that, Fudoshen asks you to restart your membership. Your data stays in your account in case you return; you can still download it or delete your account.
Can I get a refund?
Please read the Refund Policy. If you were charged by mistake, charged twice or charged after cancelling, contact us within 30 days and we will make it right.
I forgot my password
On the sign-in screen, choose Forgot password? and we will email you a link to set a new one. Check spam or promotions if it doesn’t arrive within a few minutes.
I didn’t get the confirmation email
Check spam and promotions. On the “Check your email” screen, choose Send it again. Open the link on the same device and browser you signed up with.
How do I download my data?
Account and billing › Download my data saves one file with everything in your account. Settings › Data & account › Backup also lets you restore from a file.
How do I delete my account?
Account and billing › Delete account, then type DELETE to confirm. This permanently removes your account and everything in it, and ends your membership straight away. It can’t be undone, so download your data first if you might want it.
Troubleshooting
My changes aren’t showing on another device
- Check that both devices are signed in to the same account.
- Look at the dot next to your name in the menu: it shows whether everything has synced.
- Use Save now in Account and billing, then reload the other device.
- If you were offline, changes save once that device is back online.
It says I’m offline
Fudoshen keeps working without a connection and keeps your changes on that device. They save to your account as soon as you are back online. If you stay offline for more than a week, Fudoshen will ask you to reconnect to confirm your membership.
Fudoshen feels slow on my device
Open Settings › Device & speed and set Effects to Lite for less blur and fewer particles. Turning off hover effects in Settings › Aura & hover helps too on older phones and laptops.
Checkout says Fudoshen isn’t available
Fudoshen is currently offered only in the United States. If you are in the US and using a VPN, turn it off and try again.
My payment failed
Update your card in Manage billing. Access may pause while a payment is overdue and returns as soon as it goes through.
Something looks wrong after I changed the look
Go to Settings › Theme and use Set to default to return the appearance to how Fudoshen ships, without touching your data.
Still stuck?
Reload the page first. If it keeps happening, send us a message with what you were doing and which device and browser you use.
Tips & tricks
Plan tomorrow tonight
Before you close Fudoshen, add tomorrow’s most important task and give it a time estimate. You start the next day with a decision already made.
Do the hardest thing first
Link your first focus session to the task you are most likely to avoid. Finished early, it sets the tone for everything after.
Keep the weekly review short
Ten honest minutes in Growth’s weekly review beats an hour you skip. Note one thing to keep and one thing to change.
Start one part fresh
Settings › Data & account › Start fresh lets you reset one part of Fudoshen, such as Journal or Money, without touching the rest. Each reset asks first.
Set the mood
In Settings › Sound & music choose background music and gentle sounds, or turn them off entirely.
FAQ
Who can see my journal and money?

Who can use Fudoshen?
Adults 18 and over in the United States.
